This showreel demonstrates gameplay and cinematic 3D animation work I've done over the last couple of years. I take great interest in observing my reference and carrying over the subtleties and intensity of emotions to my character's performance. I am familiar with keyframe animation, as well as motion capture data processing. My reel includes various creature, character, facial, lip sync, and acting animation.
Having a BSc in Computer Animation and Visual Effects provided me with a wider knowledge of the pipeline, as well as refined my animation principles. I'm highly adaptable, consistently practicing, and always striving to be better.
This showreel demonstrates a more technical side to my job. Working as a Technical Animator on a military training simulator has expanded my skillset beyond animation. Developing in Unreal Engine daily, I do a lot of independent work creating animation systems with various gameplay features, using blueprint visual scripting, motion matching, state machines, blendspaces. I think of the player experience and make sure the actions look/feel realistic (crucial in a simulator).
Some features I've developed include a weapon overlay system, hand IK, prone IK, swimming system, ragdoll system, and a very detailed injury and hit detection system. I problem solve, document, and collaborate with programmers, QA, designers to bring the ideas to life.
